There is no account and no sign-in, so there is nothing here that says who you are. From version 1.0.1 the app counts how it is played, anonymously; from 1.0.2 it also counts which ads brought people here, as described below.

What is counted

Anonymous usage analytics, through Mixpanel:

• That the app was opened, and whether it was the first time.
• That a night began and ended: which lullaby, how far into the night it got, the score, how many seeds it earned, how many taps missed, how long it lasted.
• That the mailbox was opened, and whether a neighbor moved in.
• That the story was read to the end, that a link opened the app, that the rating sheet was offered.
• The app's version and your device's operating system version.

Mixpanel gives this install an identifier of its own so that two nights from the same phone can be counted as one player. It is made up, it means nothing outside this app, and it is not tied to you.

Ads that brought you here

From version 1.0.2 the app carries Meta's SDK, so that the ads which bring people to Lullabird can be counted. It reports four things and no more: that the app was installed, that a night was sung through, that a third night was sung, and that a neighbor moved in. Apple carries these as aggregate postbacks — the ad network is told a number, not who you are.

After your first night the app asks, once, whether it may also let Meta count you across other apps and sites. Saying no changes nothing about the game, and the install is still counted, because Apple's postbacks do not depend on the answer. Saying yes only lets Meta tell its own campaigns apart more finely. You can change the answer at any time in iOS Settings, under Privacy & Security → Tracking.

What we never do

• We do not ask for, or collect, personal information.
• We do not read your advertising identifier unless you said yes above.
• We do not share anything with data brokers, and we do not sell anything.
• We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or anything you type.
• We show no advertising inside the app.

What stays on your phone

Your best scores, your seeds, which neighbors have moved in, and your sound and vibration settings are saved on your device only. They never leave it, and nobody — including us — can read them. Deleting the app deletes them with it.

Children

The app is not directed at children, collects no personal information from anyone, and asks no one their age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
